This is a Google Presentation that me and my buddy, Mehi have created. This task was apart of our Grammarnastics unit which showcases how to use Past tense words in a sentence. It took quite long but we got there in the end!

Bio Poem

Today I was writing a bio poem about myself and also about my general information.

Aroha’s typical day

I usually get up at 6 o’clock and have a shower. Then, I go for an early morning jog in the park. After that, I have a big breakfast and I drive my car to work which usually takes me half an hour. I start work at 8am. I eat cheese and crackers at interval. I never have lunch. I finish work at 4 o’clock. I’m always tired when I get home. I usually cook a meal in the evening and then watch TV. I don’t usually go out at night. I go to bed at about 10:30. I always sleep well.

Yesterday was a typical day for Jenny. Write what she did or didn’t do yesterday.

Highlight the verbs in the paragraph above.

Remember to change the verbs in to the past simple tense to answer the questions..

I woke up early in the morning. I had breakfast at home. Then I started walking to school. I came and got set up for learning. Before the bell rang I put my bag in my locker. I came to class to listen to the instructions. After maths and reading I went out to play during interval. I went back to class and read an article. I was doing my work that I was told to do by the teacher. It was lunchtime and I had kapa haka. Then the bell rang and I went back to class and packed up. I walked back home so I couls do my homework. After I done my homework I ate dinner and went to sleep.

Mehi and Ma'asi's Idioms

Today me and my partner Mehi were working on a presentation about idioms. I know that idioms are different to literally doing it. For example: I'm going to go 'hit the books' in the library for my test. The idiom hit the books means to go study, instead of literally hitting the books. This presentation shows that me and partner understand which is a idiom.
